From 13 to 15 October 2018, the “Work with a Win-win Agenda, Create a Future with Wisdom” Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education: An International Dialogue on Higher Education was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The Dialogue was co-hosted by Vocational Education Committee of China Education Association for International Exchange and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of Higher Vocational Colleges in China and was organized by Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology.
It was one of the follow-up activities of the 2018 National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week. The Dialogue was designed to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up endeavour, contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen education reform, achieve quality development of higher vocational education and promote international cooperation on innovation and entrepreneurship. Participants actively shared experience on innovation and entrepreneurship education and discussed the respective roles and missions of governments, enterprises and colleges in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Nearly 300 representatives from 100 units attended the event including World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) as well as vocational colleges, enterprises and industries from China and abroad.
Ms. Wang Hongliu, Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended the opening ceremony of the Dialogue and launching ceremony of the second China-UK Belt and Road International Youth Innovation and Enterprise Skills Competition —iCAN International University Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in China Division of Higher Vocational Challenge. She also attended the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education Internationalization Forum, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education Roundtable Forum and Principal Forum and visited Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology. During the event, she exchanged views with representatives from WFCP, China Education Association for International Exchange, Santirat International and Business Administration College of Thailand and other colleges. She highlighted ACC’s work in the field of education and discussed ways to establish contacts and strengthen cooperation.
