On 23 October 2024, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) hosted a field study group made up of the officials from the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) on E-commerce management for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
On behalf of Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ACC, Director Guo Chuanwei of Trade and Investment Division received the Philippine visitors and briefed them on the ACC’s mandate and recent achievements, the growth of ASEAN-China relations as well as economic and trade cooperation between China and the Philippines. He stressed that the ACC stands ready to work with all stakeholders to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in various fields, and secure common development for both sides. The persons-in-charge of the ACC divisions were also present to answer the inquiries from the floor.
Mr. Edwin Pasahol from the DTI Bureau of SMEs Development, on behalf of the visiting group, shared his impression and thoughts on the field study trip in China, spoke highly of the achievements in ASEAN-China multi-faceted exchanges and cooperation, and looked forward to strengthening communication and coordination with the ACC, so as to contribute more to promoting the advancement of both Philippines-China relationship of comprehensive strategic cooperation and ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
