ACC Representative Attended China International Big Data Industry Expo 2021

On 26 May 2021, the China International Big Data Industry Expo (referred to as “Big Data Expo”) 2021 opened in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Liu He, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier, delivered remarks via video. Ms. Shen Yiqin, Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People’s Congress, gave a welcome speech. Mr. Vladimir Norov, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Mr. Yang Xiaowei, Deputy Director of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission of CPC and the Cyberspace Administration of China, and Mr. Liu Liehong, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, addressed the event. Mr. Arianto Surojo, Director of the Information and Public Relations Division of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended upon invitation the opening ceremony and the High-level Dialogue on 5G-enabled Intelligent Digital Transformation held afterwards.

The Big Data Expo 2021 is co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. With the theme of “Embrace Digital Intelligence, Deliver New Development”, the Expo focuses on the digital economy, data security, IIoT, blockchain, rural revitalization, service trade, digital intelligence transformation, and other topics through high-level dialogues, professional forums, big data exhibitions, big data release events, big data contests, etc.

During his stay in Guizhou, Mr. Arianto Surojo met with Mr. Li Zejun, Vice President of Guiyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. They exchanged views on jointly promoting Guiyang’s practical cooperation with ASEAN Member States (AMS) in various fields such as education, culture, tourism and trade, and the building of sister or friendship city relationship between Guiyang and cities in ASEAN.
